Trouble Studio
Trouble Studio is an Oxfordshire-based design practice founded in 2023 by British designer Matthew Coules. Guided by the belief that a little mischief sparks deeper understanding, the studio celebrates experimentation, material exploration, and learning through making.
Rooted in Matthew’s rural upbringing, skate culture influences, and joinery background, Trouble Studio creates playful, considered furniture and homeware for modern living. Each piece is made in small batches with local makers, blending contemporary form with sustainable craftsmanship.
From stools and tables to candlesticks, and vases, the collection reflects a thoughtful dialogue between material, form, and everyday use. Trouble Studio is where rule-breaking becomes the start of good design.
